About Me

Kirsty graduated from Loughborough University in July 2013 with a degree in Sport and Exercise Science. Following graduation she spent a semester at the University of Alabama at Birmingham on a running scholarship. Sadly due to injury she returned after just one season. Suffering a number of successive injuries in the following years, an interest for sports rehabilitation was ignited. In 2018 she qualified as a level 3 Sports Massage Therapist alongside her full time job working at British Triathlon.

Since qualifying, Kirsty continues to develop her experience and has worked with a number of different teams, providing support at both competitions and training camps. She currently helps to support:

    • Thames Valley Harriers Athletics Club
    • British Triathlon Age Group team
    • Wreake and Soar Valley Athletics Club
    • Loughborough University Development and AU Squad

Keen to continue learning, Kirsty has recently undertaken her level 4 sports massage qualification and has provisionally passed (awaiting certification) and will be undertaking a number of CPD courses in 2020/21 in order to better support athletes.

Kirsty created Under Pressure Sports Massage early in 2019 and offers home visits for Sports massage in and around Loughborough, (Leicestershire) as well as in and around Saxmundham, (Suffolk) when in the area.
